Did my first senior pictures today. I think they turned out pretty good! We went downtown OKC near the big crystal bridge thing and the new Devon building in the little park area.

Time for family pictures! We sorta combined the family pics and “2 month” pictures of the baby into one shoot which worked out nice. The location is a garden that they actually got married in, and it was recently their 1 year anniversary so that made it even more special. I hope I can do more shoots at the location, because it seems everywhere you turn there is something to use for a couple quick shots.

Went to the open house for Ajax Kawasaki yesterday to hang out with friends and photograph the stunt show that Eric Hoenshell put on for us. Always putting on a good show and getting a crowd pumped up!

Went out to take some more pics of Eric at the spot in Midwest City. It looked like it was going to rain us out but I managed to get a couple good shots.

Eric made a post on Facebook that he was out practicing and the spot he was at was right down the street from me. It was a nice day out and I havn’t shot some action stuff(my favorite) in a while, so I had no reason not to go. Hopped on my motorcycle so I could fit in, threw on my backpack with camera gear, and headed out to the spot

Had a group shoot with Katie, Ryan, and Paige. Me and Ryan met when I was trying to sell some pocketwizards and he had a few questions about the items, because he had some but sold them. We got to talking and decided to team up and shoot a girl and sorta learn off of each other. The entire shoot is pretty much him shooting Katie, and I was more of an assistant. I honestly didn’t even plan on picking up my camera, but wanted to bring some of my gear so that he could use it along with his modifiers and such.

Went downtown to test out my 10 stop ND filter again. This time I think I got some better shots. The water moved a lot more than at the park the previous time. The above shot is probably one of my favorite shots. When I was walking around I didn’t think it would be a good shot but it turned out pretty decent. I just like how curvy the river looks and how it’s just “another spot” yet looks cool.

I got my B&W 10 stop ND filter in today. I thought those shots of rivers and lakes with super glassy water were amazing. Being a wakeboarder and VERY newbie barefooter, I know glassy water is very rare, so there had to be a trick. The “trick” is using a 10 stop ND filter. This allows you to take pictures with VERY slow shutter speeds. I’m talking like 3,5,10,20,30 second shutter speeds. Without the filter, even if you crank up the f/stop, it will still be too bright during the day. With this dark filter on, it requires more light to correctly expose.

Took some pictures of my friend’s pet snakes. I can’t say that a lot of stuff makes me nervous to be around but this little guy creeped me out the most at first. There is another shot where I’m on the ground and I let it crawl to me and I take pics as it gets closer. Due to the lens being a wide angle, the snake looked farther away than it really was and when my lens stopped focusing, it was because the snake was touching the glass of the lens. All of these snakes were pretty chill, especially the big one!
